CouponKeeper respects your privacy. This policy explains how CouponKeeper handles coupon information, images, and device permissions.
Data Storage
CouponKeeper does not require an account. Coupon details, redemption codes, QR code and barcode contents, notes, and images that you add are stored on your device by default and are not uploaded to our servers.
Deleting the app removes data stored locally by the app. Before changing devices or deleting the app, use the encrypted backup feature to export your data.
Images, PDFs, and On-Device Recognition
When you select coupon images, PDFs, Apple Wallet passes, or share content with CouponKeeper through the system share sheet, CouponKeeper uses Apple system frameworks to read coupon details, text, QR codes, and barcodes on your device. Recognition results are not uploaded to our servers.
CouponKeeper processes only content that you select or share. It does not browse or upload your entire photo library. Temporary files received through the share sheet are stored in a local shared container used only by the app and its share extension, then deleted after import.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, CouponKeeper schedules coupon expiration reminders locally on your device. These reminders are generated by the device and do not use our push servers. You can change or disable notifications in the app or in system settings.
Face ID, Touch ID, and Device Passcode
If you enable the app lock, CouponKeeper presents Apple's system authentication interface. CouponKeeper does not read, store, or upload your biometric information or device passcode.
Subscriptions and Purchases
CouponKeeper Pro purchases and subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store. CouponKeeper uses Apple StoreKit to determine whether a purchase is valid. It does not receive or store your payment card information.
Apple's handling of related data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Encrypted Backups
When you export a backup, CouponKeeper encrypts its contents using the password you provide. You choose where to save the backup file, such as the Files app. We do not receive the backup file or password and cannot recover a forgotten backup password.
Data Collection and Tracking
The current version does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, an account system, or application servers. We do not collect data used to track you and do not sell personal information.
If a future version adds cloud sync, analytics, customer support, or other networked features, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures before those features are released.
Children's Privacy
CouponKeeper is not designed to collect children's personal information and does not intentionally collect it.
